A Stainless Valve Body may seem like just another valve component, but its quality directly affects the performance and service life of the entire valve.
In production, many defects are not visible immediately after casting. They often appear only after machining begins. A casting may look acceptable on the surface, yet porosity, shrinkage or insufficient machining allowance can lead to rework or even rejection.
That’s why we believe the quality of a Stainless Valve Body starts with the casting process, not the machining process.
Material selection is the first step. CF8, CF8M, 316L and duplex stainless steel are all commonly used, but the right choice depends on the operating pressure, temperature and service conditions rather than simply selecting the most expensive alloy.
Dimensional consistency is just as important. If every batch of Stainless Valve Body castings is different, machinists have to adjust tooling and programs repeatedly. Stable castings help improve machining efficiency and ensure consistent product quality.
